Dave Poquette in a conversation with Tim Lade released facts regarding his impending marriage to Eunice. Lade says that Poquette told him the couple is planning an August wedding in Las Vegas, Nevada. As you recall the couple traveled to the gambling capitol in the fall on a vacation where they met up with Cleen and Dick Poquette. Although no date has yet been set Poquette says that the wedding would be most likely in August. Mentioned in the conversation was the fact that Peg and Dan VanLanen may join the couple in the desert city to celebrate their union. Poquette an over the road truck driver with Letica Freight Lines out of Clarksville Tennessee 84740, usually travels to the sin city with loads to the company owned plant. Working with his dispatcher he is trying to get a load to the plant in August, Eunice would fly to the city and meet him at the wedding chapel. Upon completion of the marriage a short tour of the city, and then the return trip / honeymoon. The Poquette's would back up and couple to a trailer load of mattress' where they could arrange them as they please into their own personnel love nest.
ONEIDA AREA BATTLES COLD WEATHER
With temperatures hovering near zero in the daytime and plunging to the teens below at night, outdoor activity is limited at best. Vehicles are being given the deep freeze test with some not surviving. Wind chills are dipping to the 25 to 30 below marks and heating fuel is the big seller in the Oneida area. People are bundling up for their outside walks to work or for other reasons and if their not then they're walking a lot faster.
CONTACT MADE WITH MIKE POQUETTE
In the same conversation reported earlier between Dave Poquette and Tim Lade, Poquette also mentioned that he had made contact with younger brother Michael by phone. Michael who has not been heard from for several years has had his whereabouts unknown. Several family members cast doubt as to whether he had even been alive. Apparently Poquette had gotten a phone number for him which he tried and a female voice answered. Upon asking for Mike the female connected him directly to him, it was just that simple.

Winter once again gave a little reminder that we are less then half way through winter and we still have a threat of the white stuff. The storm started on Friday night and lasted through the morning of Saturday for the most part. Temperatures dropped through out the evening on Saturday and Sunday morning the mercury leveled out at -3F. As the sun climbed higher in the sky the temp climbed to a high of about +25. All told the skies unloaded between 6 and 8 inches depending which side of the tracks you are on. The storm was not confined to Wisconsin however as Dave Poquette of Lettica Freight Lines out of Clarksville, Tennessee 37040 reports snow had fallen in the Clarksville area and temperatures dropped there as well. He was quite dismayed at the drivers of that area because they are inexperienced in driving in poor weather conditions and he finds being on the road with them in that situation quite frustrating. Poquette called in this morning to the KAMR offices with the information as he was preparing to enter a scale entrance. He spoke to us while he was outside of his truck pounding on the side to lighten his load before pulling on to the scale. No he wasn't hitting the side of his truck to get the snow and ice off, he was hauling a load of canneries.
Eunice known to many KAMR readers as "Ethel" and Peter have set the date for their wedding as August 23, 2005. The wedding will be in Las Vegas and some family members are already making plans to attend. Before committing Peter consulted with Tim Lade and confirmed his suspicion that the fourth time is a charm and so it's on with the wedding. The wedding is already being billed as the event of the year and the paparazzi are lining up to get a sneak photo of the couple as they depart from the chapel. Just as Jennifer Lopez and Ben Afflack were given the nickname "Bennifer" by the frenzied media so it goes with our happy couple as they are known in media circles as Peunice. Peunice are planning a whirlwind honeymoon in Las Vegas with several photo op's available at various notable locations about town. Soon there will be reports from sin city of Peunice sightings all over, then sightings out of the city, and then all over the county as America becomes infatuated with Peunice.
